All I wanted to do was draw a scene with bored Sherlock and amused John.
(Still can't draw Martin Freemans face.)
Then, of course, it needed a background (I remember once swearing never to do a bookcase again, oh well...) and naturally I needed to at least try to make the perspectives work.
Then there was no stopping me. I had to do colours, shading, daylight streaming in from the windows...
Three days later (because I've to my memory never done something as detailed as this before) and I'm sick of trying to correct the million tiny things that could still be corrected.
How did I do?
